Bill Cosgrove is the Owner and CEO of Union Home Mortgage, where he leads one of the nation’s largest independent mortgage banking platforms with a focus on sustainable growth, community impact, and long-term homeownership success. With more than 35 years of experience in mortgage banking, Bill has built Union Home Mortgage into a nationwide lender spanning retail, wholesale, correspondent, consumer direct, and in-house servicing. In addition to his role at UHM, he is also one of the three co-chairs of the Tampa Bay Rays.

A widely respected industry leader, Bill is the only mortgage banker from Ohio to have served as President of the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association and later Chairman of the national Mortgage Bankers Association. He is the founder of the MBA Independent Mortgage Banking Conference and a Certified Mortgage Banker, known for his deep commitment to advocacy, leadership development, and giving back through the Union Home Foundation. Chris Bennett!


Chris Bennett began his career as a trader at the age of fifteen in the commodities futures markets, starting with a small stake he had saved up from mowing lawns in the neighborhood. After receiving his degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, Chris began his over 30-year career in mortgage banking as a trader with a mid-sized bank and later as head of Capital Markets for a nationwide independent mortgage company. In 2001 he founded the hedge advisory firm Vice Capital Markets, now in its third decade of service to mortgage lenders of all types and sizes across the country.

Chris is responsible for having pioneered now industry-standard advancements in pipeline shock analysis, which account for changes in servicing values for incremental changes in underlying MBS pricing, and in 2023 Vice Capital crossed the $1 Trillion mark in mortgage and MBS trading. Chris has given numerous talks on current US and global economic conditions as well as Federal Reserve and other central bank monetary policies and implications for the future direction of interest rates and continues to serve clients as Chairman of the firm.

Chase Gilbert!


Built CEO, Chase Gilbert co-founded Built in 2014 with the goal of leveraging technology to improve outcomes within construction and the broader real estate industry. Jim Parrott!

Jim Parrott is a nonresident fellow at the Urban Institute and owner of Parrott Ryan Advisors, which provides strategic advice on housing finance issues to financial institutions active in the primary and secondary mortgage market. Before joining Urban in 2013, Parrott spent several years in the Obama White House as a senior adviser at the National Economic Council, where he led the team of advisers charged with counseling the cabinet and president on housing issues. He was on point for developing the administration’s major housing policy positions; articulating and defending those positions with Congress, the press, and public; and counseling White House leadership on related communications and legislative strategy.

Before his time in the White House, Parrott was counsel to Secretary Donovan at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Before that, he was a litigator, first in New York with Sullivan and Cromwell, and later in North Carolina with Smith Anderson. Parrott has a BA in philosophy from the University of North Carolina, an MA in philosophy from the University of Washington, and a JD from Columbia Law School. He was a Peace Corps volunteer and served in Sri Lanka. He currently serves on the local advisory board of the Ackland Museum of Art in Chapel Hill, NC.

Kathy Kraninger!

Kathy Kraninger is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Bankers Association (FBA), a trade association that, through advocacy, education, and engagement, supports Florida bankers in better serving their customers and communities. Established in 1888, FBA today represents more than 150 banks of all sizes operating in the state of Florida and their 134,000+ dedicated employees.

Prior to joining the FBA, Kraninger had a distinguished public-sector career. Appointed by four Presidents to government posts and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Kraninger has been a trusted counselor and advisor to cabinet members and members of Congress of both parties for decades – focused on problem solving over politics and outcomes over credit. 

As Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from December 2018 until January 2021, Kraninger made her mark on all aspects of the agency’s mission and operations, particularly in facilitating innovation and leading through the economic uncertainty of the global pandemic. In that role, Kraninger also served on the board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Financial Stability Oversight Board, and as chair of the Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council.
